Attitude of Gratitude 12/29

Hebrews 4:14-16 – Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.  Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus our High Priest.  How can God understand what I’m going through?  He can because he went through it too.  Temptation. Loss of a parent. Loss of a friend. Loneliness. Non-acceptance. Hunger. Mocking.  He went through it all.  And now He prays for me and stands with me as I go through it.

So what am I thankful for?  I’m thankful that God sent Him to be human and see through human eyes and live through the human experience.  He knows our frailties, our struggles, our temptations and can help me through every situation that comes my way.
